The powers that be in Australia have made steps towards the banning of AI create music in their charts! Is this the start of the salvation of our music? Will other countries follow? The revolution may not be televised, but it certainly looks like it may be downloaded and streamed!

How it can be monitored if music is made with ai or not? Something I don’t think we can ever varify is if artist “composes” piece with suno first and then replicates it with real instruments/synths.

Hi Joonas, the irony is, they’d probably use AI to monitor it :laughing: ! And in response to, ‘if an artist “composes” a piece with Suno first, and then replicates it with real instruments/synths’, for me this isn’t as bad as claiming the whole production as your own! At least there would still be some musicianship to that process! But in the same respect, if a person can recreate a Suno abomination musically, I feel they wouldn’t be using Suno in the first instance. I’m in admiration for Australia sticking their neck out and starting the whole process of some sort of declaration or monitoring. Keep Music Live!!!

What might happen is that there is some sort of detection tool that detects if song is created with AI, but what prevents creating tools that will fool detection tool? Maybe this will be endless cycle assuming companies are willing to spend money to improve their detection tool.

Recreating songs made by suno will recuire production skills, but you could still make album every day without composing single note.

AI is what Photoshop done from the late 1980’s; casting a spectre of doubt to what is truly ‘real’; but on steroids! Actors in the UK are now petitioning for the rights over their voice, that is further fuelling the debate of ownership and copyright. Surely, it’s not long now until the rise of the robots, and humanity will hang by a thread, whilst singing songs of existence and survival (we shall overcome)!!!

And I’d like to meet the person who could recreate a Suno album in a day without compromising a single note; that’s one busy schedule :laughing: and talent !!!
