Love the pocket from the drums and bass, playing no more or less than they need to, under all the instrumentation on the layers above. Despite the automatic subtitling, this is clearly referencing the events reported by Frank Borman and Jim Lovell from Gemini 7 and I think the music conveys the mystery and drama of that event very well. Thanks for sharing, Kev.
Thank you so much! The automatic subtitling is so hit and miss; funny on my last; ‘I must change my attitude’ when he says ‘altitude’! The full credits are in the video description, if you want to chase down the audio files!
Hey all! I know some of you have already heard this one, but Amber is FINALLY out!! Thank you all for the support, it means a lot!
Good luck with the release!
Stay Tuneful!!!
Good luck with it, mate. Love the moment around 1 min when the drums go from playing half time with an offbeat to smack on top of the beat. Gives everything a real kick in the pants and creates some wonderful momentum. I like momentum! ![]()
ditto this! Well done, Ed!
Hello all, I used the ‘‘Small string gestures’’ in the instrumental middle part of this song.
It starts at 2:56 and one more at 3:19. Love it! The rest of the scoring is done with Native Instrument’s Symphony essentials. Also great but I just could not get the sounds out out that with ‘‘normal’’ articulations, which are present in Small string gestures. Great stuff!
Welcome, Jurriaan. Hope you post more of your work here. I love it too! Too many songwriters are afraid to drop that groove for a real change of feel, but that really works for me. Thanks for sharing.![]()
