hey guys, so if anyone watched the podcast today i mentioned a discord. here’s the link for anyone who wants to join and i wanna use this thread to talk about what potentially could be built in there and how to go about sharing the space between here, youtube and this discord.

my main goal with the discord is just to have an open meeting type space (like the podcast) for everyone to come hang, show music things, ask questions, get help, collaborate and things like that.

pleeeeaaaaaasssseeeee keep in mind i dont want to build an insane amount of channels there cause i dont want to take away from this forum, so i think it would be nice to keep that to the minimum and for most things refer back to here. all that being said

I posted over there, but thought I should mention here as well that it might be a good idea to add a honeypot channel. Since there won’t always be an admin or moderator around to deal with spam, having a channel that a spam bot will post in without paying attention but a human won’t is a way to mark the bot for booting and banning. Call it something like “Only Bots Post Here”, “The Auto Ban Channel”, or “Humans not Allowed” and set it to automatically boot and ban any account that posts in it. Just a thought.

i seriously doubt we’ll get spam as the server is closed and the only invite exists here. but if it ever happens we’ll figure that one out
