I’ve made a string masterclass and desperately need your help making versions of the logic file but for other DAWS…. Can you help??? Post .zips or links to .zips in this thread and we will be sure to credit you with our humblest thanks!!!
Here’s the post with link to assets, and also the video I made: LINK
In response to Christians call for help on his latest video, I have put together a reaper file for those of us who use Reaper, I would attach this to Christians post but I can’t reply to it .
That being said, here it is… make sure you have pocket strings before downloading!
Let me know if you run into any errors using the file! It should work but do let me know!
Colour coded stuff and also featured the blagsheet for convenience sake too ^^
Had to update the zip because last night i realised about the velocity offset and i just realised “OH CRAP I FORGOT ABOUT THE COL LEG VELOCITIES!” but dw its fixed now ^^
Possibly a stupid question, but how should the expression/modulation of track 11 “Pocket 1 Shimmers” be set? Watching the video of Christian’s rendition, it doesn’t appear to me that anything plays on the track - certainly not between bars 13 and 37, and maybe not in the final 8 bars (the video cuts away to the channel ident at that point).
I don’t have a means of opening the Logic file, but it sounds to me like there’s some EQ (and maybe other dynamics processing) at work in addition to Pocket Strings. Is the goal that the versions for other DAWs sound like Christian’s version, or simply that they present the contents of the MIDI file without any other processing?
Christian, I’m twenty years old living in Northern California and I have greatly appreciated your content and approach to developing the tools I use for work every day. I took the time to translate your resources into StudioOne 7 Pro, hopefully this is helpful as a small token of my appreciation
I didn’t see a project for Reason, so here it is…all the way from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This was recreated in Reason 13. Much love to all Crow Hill folks!
My version using my DAW, Studio One 6 Professional. This version was the last version before PreSonus went to their new subscription and Studio One 7, etc., so I had to use the MIDI file and create all the setings as I could.
