Brilliant take, love it! Of course, between you and Matt (not to mention any not posted here), there went any chance that I would get mentioned on the 6th (sigh).
Love the pic, btw.

Ahhh thank you - he’s such a smashing dog
keeps my feet on the ground tho… makes the same grumble when I play my flute as he does when I liquidise soup……… ![]()
So, to go with my track i made (only and purely for fun cause i though it would be
) a little video, made as a tv show intro sequence. (I think i’m starting my own tv show lol)
Check it out!! I think it came out pretty good. No more points allowed i know, but i really wanted to share it
tell me what you think!!
They ought to use that as a promo for the Bridge Guitar vault. That is just plain brilliant.
Here’s mine,
Not what I’m used to composing, But I guess that’s the point of these challenges ![]()
Bridge guitar with pizzicato pocket strings ![]()

Hey all - this was a tough one for sure, but a fun challenge!
Here’s my take:
Best of luck!
My entry for the Bridge Guitar challenge. I have also used Vaults Amp Bass, which on review again of the slightly ambiguous wording of the task , may be regarded as off-piste. My approach is that it’s a stringed instrument and it was plucked… ![]()
OK here goes. I’m posting so I stop fafing around and adding stuff. In reference to the prior post, I’m sticking exclusively with the Bridge Guitar and various pizzicato strings; likely relating to some deep-seated school trauma but I ended up liking the challenge. Narratively: I tried to make a “robot detective theme” that starts out sounding clockwork-esque then shifts gradually to sound more organic as the web of clues comes together; finishing on a solid conclusion. Layered on top is tons of “sploosh” (as directed), EQ shapping to keep the plucks in their acoustic lanes, compression, and what ever the f#ck Gullfoss does.
Good Luck to everyone out there.
Hi all, here is my attempt at the challenge. I just used Bridge Guitar and one instance of the pizzicato strings from Glass Strings. Just a bit of eq to cut some low end and soothe 2 for resonances. I think I was thinking of programmes where they have those cheeky vibes in the music. Not my usual style but it was fun to do!
Great to see some fantastic submissions - as always … I found this one particularly challenging and took three attempts before settling on this …
I ended up using Bridge Guitar and Plucks from Pocket Strings with a sprinkling of time-based and dynamic effects and EQ … I used a 5/4 time signature and a combination of syncopated rhythms … inspired by the ticking Countdown clock …
so, so many good cues! here’s my humble attempt…
This was a great challenge with so many varied entries, I gave it my best shot, haven’t done anything like this before, lots of fun
Funny enough, this was more inspired by an early noughties Canadian cartoon than daytime reality TV. I ended up using Bridge Guitar, Pocket Strings on pluck, and a bit of extra sampling from both.
This was a real pleasure to work on:
Wellllll… that was interesting. I thought for sure several of you (us) had done what was asked for.
Well, I guess we get the updated brief and then go from there?
It takes the pizz; but we go again! ![]()
But when I listen to that and then what most of us submitted, I don’t see how we all missed brief.
I dread having to watch any more of that (rhymes with “rap”) TV just to understand what the brief could be. I honestly don’t think I would ever real life pitch to someone for a “reality” show.
Yeah i don’t know either where to go from here. Using only pizz or bridge, there’s not much to go for, especially since he doesn’t want melodies…
Sound design maybe?? But if we start go for that, it won’t be bridge guitar anymore…
Well… maybe we did miss something. I just listened again to Christian’s blurb in the RingPull and he emphasised the “bed” and “under” dialogue. Maybe I focused on the Newman Theme and missed what he means. Maybe I just can’t stand those shows, but I do understand not competing with vocals (corporate vid has that all the time). Well, time to try again.
I don’t want to pile on but that was a werid flex. Dozens of composers (some even pro & paid) were following vague instruction while giving free advertising; followed by live group shaming over an imaginary check mark.
This is going to wreck a lot of goodwill. Next time just take the L and pick someone. Most of us are not here to win stuff.
I’m not saying I haven’t worked with some bougie twat behavior before, but they were paying me… Anyone who resubmits for this is missing the brief. Do Better. SMH
I would like to submit that maybe Christian has a point. We missed something and he wants us to rethink a bit. Granted, the brief seemed to ask for something different, but maybe we all started with the wrong mindset… we do the demos to show what can be done, but maybe we missed the part about this not really being a demo.
I’ve got Cubase up now, let’s all try again.
