Just chipping in with a point that [I think, Les, made on CYHMN] virtual machines are a godsend for archaic and defunct software. I’ve worked at McLaren’s skunkworks division and they wre buying up all of a certian Compaq laptop as the software for the F1 roadcar was reliant on them, it was pointed out that they could package the machine image up and run it on a VM and prevent future pain. Amusing that cars selling for £20m were reliant on ebay laptops.
For those that are worried about things dying and being lost, I’d have a look at VMWare player, you can back your system up as it is today and keep a secure copy of it in multiple locations, preventing loss of functionality. It might be a miore clunky workflow, but it is a secure option. Worth bearing in mind Fusion and Workstation | VMware
Yeah, time to switch to Audiomodern Soundbox… native access was a huge PITA anyways… always kept it on a separate computer never put it on my working rig. I use the witches’ (cough cough) version on my working rig but every library I use I own legit.
