Last in first out /vaults-info/

I think you mean first in first out. Last in would, I think, mean the oldest ones always remain but the newest ones keep rotating out.

About the disappearing instruments - the web page says to download to keep them for life - but I will be upgrading to a new computer soon, and will have to re-download all of my plugins at some point. How can I keep access to the Vaults I have now in that case?

Hi Karl, I think they live on in your Crow Hill account, as to download and install as and when needed! Take care, KG.

Ah, that makes sense! Thank you!

You’re welcome! And my apologies for the typo on your name!

No worries, I didn’t even notice - it’s happened many times.

Hey Kari and KG,

Sorry to necro, but I only noticed the disappearing Vaults today–as I couldn’t make heads or tails of the Crow Hill website (all of the navigation is tiny and at the bottom now) and downloaded the installer program, which only listed one of the Vaults libraries (when I’ve been collecting them regularly since the first one.)

I managed to “repurchase” 2-6…but I can’t find anyway to locate where the first one might be. (Note: I’ve just done a laptop restart, so I haven’t checked my DAW yet, to see if they’re still there, just not in my “my products” or “installed products” list via the installer.

(Don’t know how I missed the message about Vaults libraries becoming unavailable…but I only learned about this today.)

Thanks for the information in this thread!

Hi pgreyy,
Make sure you go through the purchasing steps with Vaults products, even though they are free! Obviously you will not be charged anything.
Complete that process and they will appear in TCHC App and remain yours!
And don’t forget, the Attic Grand is no longer available and R+D Strings is soon to be dropped!
Hope this helps?
Stay tuneful!
KG.

Hi Peter,

It sounds like you had Vaults Beta to start, just like I did. At some point in the last couple of months, I checked to see what I had downloaded, and saw the proper Vaults, and had to download it all again. I now see that Beta has disappeared from my account. So unfortunately I think you missed Attic Grand in Vaults, but if you still have the Beta version, hopefully it still works in your DAW? Someone can correct me if I’m wrong. I don’t recall seeing any messages about needing to move from Beta to regular Vaults, so you are probably not the only one in this situation. I just happened to check in time. And since I did get Vaults proper in time, in my account on the downloader, I can reinstall Attic Grand if I need to, which I will need to do once I upgrade my computer. Hope that helps!

It explains things, Kari, thank you.

I wish things would have been communicated better.

And KG, I made certain I grabbed everything I could.

I’m in a bit of a quandary. The first 3 or 4 vaults I have are in beta only (had a bit of a life changing situation when Vaults proper was released and let things slip). It’s not really an issue as I can still play them via vaults beta but… I’ll be upgrading my PC soon and now I’m nervous. I do have the instrument files and the installers… I remember the installers were like a downloader type thing and they are saved somewhere on my pc. Will they still work? Or can I just straight copy the files over? I noticed I can see Vaults beta on my account but it’s “hidden” and there is an update but I think it’s for the app itself.
I think I might have to grovel to support to get them back and working on the new version🙏

For sure, contact support, explain your situation, and have a grovel! I missed the first drop out, not realising you had to go through the purchase process and support kindly sorted it. Good luck!
