Considering Grimm is one of my favourite libraries I’m very excited for this, but what do we think it could be? Some suggested with the dinosaurs it could be a prehistoric sounding library.

I haven’t got a clue. I’m very much intrigued Vishen.
Every time when I’m watching something and I think “wow, that’s a really interesting way of approaching the sound here” it’s someone from this ‘collective’ that’s made it - can’t wait to hear what’s been brewed up! ![]()
I’m excited as well! There were some discussions over it being an Electric Oboe because of the picture file name, I assume made from a dinosaur bone perhaps?
Yeah, I agree that what’s been shown in the video is something that is highly probable. Bye the way thanks for sharing the video it was very interesting.![]()
Bagpipes!
I jest. I’ve obviously got no clue!
I’ve probably used up all my prehistoric sounds from the KeepForest libraries so…I could use some more prehistoric sounds. ![]()
Thanks for sharing that Cats. I hadn’t seen it before. ![]()
This is very cool! I hope we get something similar to it.
Ive just been on the Crow Hill Can Your Hear Me Now Google meet and asked Christian about this new prehistoric library. He confirmed that the sample sounds are like those on the video that Catsandsound has shared with us all. The library is a collaboration between both Crow Hill and Bleeding fingers teams and this new library will be available to purchase on the Crow Hill website tomorrow.
I heard that too and it will be strings rather than an oboe. Still very excited even if I already have a lot of string libraries from Crow Hill.
It is out and sounds fantastic! =)
Yeah I’ve just watched Christians live demo. I’ve just purchased it and I’m currently downloading the plugin. I can’t wait to play about with it.
I won’t be far behind you Michael.
Maybe next time Eleri, Christian will do a bagpipes plugin especially for you and he can present it to us all on one of his walking Youtube vlogs in the Scottish countryside or on Google Meet wearing a Scottish kilt. ![]()
@Simon-Admin Hey Simon, I just noticed that the Product Specs for Pocket Strings made it’s way into this one. At first I thought that’s cool there are blend able synth layers and then I saw this line
”Featuring a restored vintage Yamaha® CS80 & ARP® Solina Ensemble”
Those synths were just the stuff for a primula-laden party-pocket-strings challenge entry! ![]()

Thanks Vishen. Should be all fixed now.
Hello everyone, hope you’re all enjoying your weekends
has anyone had a chance yet to have a play with this? I really enjoyed hearing the story behind it, and seeing cats and sounds’ video find - super inspiring. I think from hearing it that it might blend really well with flute - does anyone have a view? Thank you!
