I don’t usually post tracks but I’m going to follow Christian’s suggestion and ‘be brave’.
I’ve finally got around to finishing some music having started to come out of the other side of my GP Practice and the subsequent business take over last year. Frankly, it made me ill !
I was offered a ‘friendly challenge’, to attempt to compose a James Bond theme.
‘Br0ken B0nds’ is my attempt !
best wishes
Lee
(I was just going to attach an mp3 but it looks like I have to link instead ?)
I’ve been releasing some solo “Peaceful Piano” instrumentals. Most of the films I’m doing don’t end up doing soundtrack records, so I’ve only got a couple of those released.
Q121 is a wind tunnel in Farnborough, built at the very beginning of the aviation industry in the UK, in 1935. This composition was created as a response this space using reverb impulse responses recorded in Q121 by the Modular Café in Aldershot.
Being new to music, I haven’t created much as yet but I occasionally noodle about. This piece was a reaction to the Aurora recently that I completely managed to miss, despite several viewing attempts. Still, I was inspired to create this piece as a result: Stream Aurora by Destinys Agent | Listen online for free on SoundCloud I used a simple drone and improvised some piano drenched in reverb. Comments always welcome.
Beautiful piece. Very inspiring, Ryan. Builds in such a natural, emotional way. And the callback at the end, similar but different, feels like a hero’s journey. Thanks for sharing.
I hope it’s ok to post a link to my soundcloud page here. That’s the only place I publish my stuff online at the moment. If you have any comments, I’d love to hear them.
I’m SAM DOWNIE , and I’m a 2x BAFTA nominated film maker, composer, producer, dolby atmos mix engineer now verified by Universal Music Group (uk) and Sony Music (uk), who is also Autistic/ADHD/Stroke… and am supported by AMPAS and by Dolby.
My latest project - Meet the Metahumans - is a sci-fi fantasy satire, and will be released towards the end of 2024, it’s been 5 years in the making, and funded by BFI and by Dolby. It uses sounds from Vaults inc the Celeste and Felt Piano (and sounds from spitfire audio too mostly Christian’s libs).
