Gosh, that’s rather beautiful, Ali. I love the way the melody seems to be constantly changing its relationship with the clave (sounds like 2-3 son to me) without ever losing it as all the layers move over one another.
Thank you so much for listening and making time to comment Steve! Glad you enjoyed it. ![]()
Thanks Alistair for your comments. I just thought I would try something a little bit different. I wanted to try and make Storm Cello sound as if it was an alto saxophone with the use of a little bit of improvisation. Let’s call it a trial and error expression of music exercise for myself. ![]()
Alistair, this maybe called soft machinations but it most definitely has a flavour of latin americano imaginations. You used a very good choice of instruments to get your style of rhythm across to the listener. The tracks melody and rhythm also worked very well with the tempo of the beat.
Bom trabalho ![]()
Hi Michael! Thank you for your kind words and for taking time to listen. Using horns and a Latin rhythm was a new experience for me so I am glad you felt it worked. ![]()

Here’s my suggestion for a theme song to reflect the new title of the podcast - very much in the same vein as my original - that Christian and the team were kind enough to play on the show on 24 September. This uses some of the drum recordings from the live session for “Join the Fellowship”, sped-up to the new tempo:
It’s a fact of modern communication
that sometimes, your signal can’t get through;
but there’s no need to lose you mind in frustration
as there’s a simple thing that you can do -
When you speak into the microphone
but just can’t move that speaker-cone
these are the words you must intone:
“Can you hear me now?”
This is brilliant, Ed!
Brilliant work Ed! “Chap-Hop” is definitely the new thing…. ![]()
Lovely work Ryan! This is both happy and beautiful. ![]()
Hi everyone, I’m sharing this playlist as a work-in-progress, preparing to pitch music libraries for sync (targeting unscripted crime docu / tension underscore). Looking for constructive feedback. I’m fine with critisism - leave my ego at the door - so I can reflect and progress. One aim with these tracks was to keep mainly electronic, minimal, dry and sparse reverb, use the stereo field as much as possible. Trying to stand out with a certain style in a crowded marketplace. Thanks for listening! https://play.reelcrafter.com/L1J8r6vFS7KkU6qHkKEYxw
Here is something I’ve been working on which is made up about 95% Crow Hill instruments.
I really enjoyed the vibe of this!
I recently got the String Murmurations library, which I love. Here is what I did with it. ![]()
Abyssal Solitude was a great score Vishen. well done.
Thank you Michael, appreciate you listening to it!
I do tend to go on the heavier side of music and everyone posts such beautiful pieces.
Very nice, Vishen. I don’t know about solitude though, mate, it sounds to me as if there’s something very menacing sharing that abyss! ![]()
This is incredible. The whole piece is an adventure. Well done Vishen! So fun for my ears.
I’m quite pleased with this one. It started life as participation in an exercise in writing music for factual entertainment as part of a video series by our own Christian Henson. I think the relevant videos are still on TCHC channel and my versions are on my own Youtube channel. The composition then morphed into a demo for John Meyers excellent Steinway Grand pack from Pianobook. That instrument takes pride of place in the released version too. As always there is a little video to go with it which I have posted on the ‘Share Your Videos’ channel.
Let me know what you think.
