Wonderful, but quite menacing, Ed; this is not a friendly wheel one can hear turning in the rhythms of this piece. To me there’s a sense of a grinding inevitability about this Great Wheel. Not only does this piece stand on its own as a piece of artistic expression, it’s also a great demonstration of the potential of the Mystic Piano. Thanks for sharing.

Wow Ed! Very atmospheric and menacing. I’m visualising a sinister grandfather clock at the end of a creepy hallway. None of the domestic staff like going down there… I wonder why…

In two minds about sharing this little bit of whimsy, but here goes… It came out of a day by the river with the great-nieces and me fixing their music box. Not much of a melody really, meant to be simple like a nursery rhyme for the little ones, but it’s my first use of ‘proper’ strings (Spitfire’s free BBC Orchestra) with separated instruments (1st, 2nd violins, violas etc) and I’d like to know if I have the string harmonies about right. Thanks, as ever, for listening.
