I created version 1 of Shift as a PDF in a post here about 1 month ago. After further development I can now present Shift v2 - a free web app that does it all in one click.
What’s New in v2?
-
576 gestures from 4 libraries (Small Strings Gestures, Nocturnal Gestures, Glass Strings, Dulcet Voice)
-
Real-time database — no PDFs, no scrolling
-
Custom key order (C Major first, then C Minor, C# Major…)
-
Curated gesture flow — from safe to bold (Home Base, Open Air, Rich Color, Drone Lock, Smooth Slide, Spicy Twist)
-
Zero dead ends — every combo returns a real, playable result
-
Web-app, easy to use (no log-in, no mail, no fuss…just save the link)
How to Use Shift v2 (3 Steps, 3 Seconds)
1. Pick your Library.
2. Choose your note. Major for good things, minor for bad things.
3. Select a Gesture Type (Home Base, Open Air, Rich Color, Drone Lock, Smooth Slide, Spicy Twist) → Click Generate.
“One Note” Magic — No Mode Math Required
- You don’t need to know Dorian, Lydian, or Mixolydian
- Just ask: “Do I want F# to feel hopeful or haunting?”
-
Pick Major or Minor — that’s it
-
Shift v2 gives you the perfect, tonal shift — every time
**One note. One emotion. One shift.**
Try it now → Shift - Instant Gestures
*4 Libraries • 576 Shifts • One Note Away*
Happy shifting!
