Glass Strings - re-map Expression?

Hi there - I just got Glass Strings and am loving it. I’d really like to map the Expression control to cc7 Vol, but I can’t seem to right click anywhere on it to reassign… does anyone know how to do it?

This sounds similar to the issues described in a couple of recent threads - Marshal Brass midi learn problem and Beware of the Update . The word from Crow Hill support seems to be that remapping expression/volume is not possible with the new versions of various libraries.

Well, that’s the question. I use the Korg Kontrol2 of which I can change the CC numbers in the Korg Editor, and then write it to the hardware; but I need to do this every time I have a Crowhill Library loaded in a project. I tried mapping in Nuendo 14 and Cubase 14 Pro, and save the project with this done, but no, I still have to have the Kontrol2 open with the relevant CC numbers showing. I also tried to map them to my Behringer BCF2000 midi controller, but the same thing. We shouldn’t have to pratt about like this to be honest, there should simply be right click learn midi. As Christian has come from Spitfire Audio, and seem to have no problem with their learn midi procedure, it makes you wonder. Good luck, and I hope you find a way. I have yet to set a template up with the CC assignments, but I doubt that will work. I am not the only one who is having this problem. If I could get my money back, I surely would.

Thanks both for the replies. I have the muscle memory for the right-hand two faders being Vol CC7 and Mod CC1 on my FVDE controller. I’ve mapped Expression to an adjacent fader but the closest I can get to mapping expression to CC7 is to map the Glass Stings master VOL to CC7 by clicking one the word VOL. I have to make sure the expression is turned up to 100% but it kind od does the same thing right? The Time is controlled by the Mod fader/Mod wheel and the Volume CC7… nearly there!
