I like the calmness and the progression . It’s minimal but also effective.

Hello everyone,

I’ve been working on the feedback from the masterclass on Strings Programming and created this new track titled - “With every breath”.

I’ve used Glass Strings, Pocket Strings, Vaults Harmonium and Vaults Beaker.

The chords (Pocket Strings, Beaker and Harmonium) rise and fall like big breaths, sculpted with crescendos and diminuendos to create small pockets of emotion. Over the top sits a melody carried by Glass Strings, with the unlikely but beautiful support of the Harmonium.

I hope you enjoy it!

I’ve also created a track “Frontiers” with just Beaker and Gongs from Vaults - a very spacey/ sci-fi vibe I felt - good for suspense build maybe? It was lots of fun to make!

have a great evening, all!

Hello, thankyou:) I believe the current plan is once one more area is finished, crowdfunding will occur to complete the rest of the game, but there no release date currently.

I enjoyed this project, the developers gave useful feedback to early versions of the music and im happy with the result. I only did music for this:)

‘With Every Breath’ is amazing, such great texture and timings on the breaths. Despite being slow it still feels like its moving forwards and never feels repetitive. Very good.
I cant help being reminded of this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDbf5be_ePU&list=PLbNT78Q7M14yC4iIN4RaQqGa6q6zY6bqc&index=5

Frontiers is nice as well, always interesting to see what happens if you restrict a composition to a couple of instruments!

Thank you very much, @Asriel And Thank you for passing on the link - what an emotional piece of music that is!! Really chuffed my music has reminded you of it! I’d not come across this game or the music - I will need to go and listen to it all now!

100% agree about creating things with limited resources. I’m setting myself a goal of creating a set of tracks with just vaults - just to see what I can come up with!

That sounds like a fantastic thing to have been a part of!

To me, both these rather beautiful compositions have a wonderful sense of musical space that allows the sounds to develop and tell their story. That Vaults Harmonium has some magic to it and works in all sorts of situations, supporting without intruding; bit of a hidden gem. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much for listing to these Stephen! Appreciate it very much!

You’re right, harmonium is a bit of a gem! If you fiddle with delays and reverb on the Harmonium - you get something that adds a lovely atmospheric and spacious texture - all the cinematic feels. I’m going to experiment with this behind some piano and see what happens!

Hi everyone!

Not trying to flood the page, but I finally have the masters back and was just curious which one you all prefer as I am looking to release a single soon: Stream Noah Stockton | Listen to Finished Tracks playlist online for free on SoundCloud

Couple of nice tracks, mate, but for me it’s Resurgence. That had me ‘chair dancing’ with a lovely momentum to it. Particularly enjoyed (as a drummer) the hi hat between 3:00 and 3:30. I presume it’s not a ‘real’ cymbal (from the sound), but that ‘open up a smidge and play tip/shank for the offbeat’ technique is a classic. Thanks for the opportunity to listen.

Coastal drift is my favourite! I love the slow build-up - this is a wonderful - start-of-road-trip track! It’s very uplifting! Ambient, relaxing, a beautiful sound and with momentum. Great work Noah!

Hi everyone,

I composed this piece in memory of a friend who was taken too soon just before Christmas. Mostly Crow Hill instruments used but also a dash of 8DIO, Spitfire, and U-He too.

Sorry to hear that your friend Alison has sadly passed away buddy. You’ve created a lovely peaceful track Alistair which is melodically gentle and very much appropriate. A great integration and use of harmony combined with a good choice of instruments for this track buddy. I loved the birds tweeting in sections which integrated a bit of nature into the composition. The tenderness of your track makes me feel that Alison was a tender caring soul which had a lot to offer the world. Stay strong buddy and well done with the track.

Beautiful, Ali. Once you’ve got through the pain, mate, think of her with a smile and talk about her often. You are part of her legacy.

Thank you so much for listening Michael and for your kind words. I’m glad you felt the piece was worthy. Trying to capture something of a person in either music or words in an appropriate way after they passed is a tricky task, particularly if they and their family were close to you. It’s not something you want to get wrong. :grimacing: So your approval brings me some relief… :+1:
