Hiya, lovely to see all of the activity in this community.

Just shared this on the stream so here it goes as well!

I recently released a new instrument on Pianobook/Audio Inc., which is the first in a new series - Notebook Series.

This instrument is called Joana’s Music Box - a Valentine’s present my wife gave me when we were dating, and that became a symbolic moment in our wedding ceremony.

Sampled inside a large wooden box for added resonance and warmth, I used two KM184s to capture the raw and pure sound of the music box.

Added to that, you also have access to a warped version of the sound with which you can create vibrant and shimmering textures.

The Notebook Series is a playground of small instruments for big sounds. Inspired by all ideas that were once lines on a page.

Every instrument will share the same four sliders, albeit with different functions per instrument.

Excited to hear your input and to get more of these out the door!

Hello All,
I’d like to share this video promo for a track I’ve just released into the wild. Although there are no Crow Hill Company instruments on it, there is (as with almost everything I write) offerings from Pianobook/AudioInc. In this case Kai-Anders Ryan’s ‘Yamaha U1’ features prominently.
Many Thanks.

P.S.
I’m hoping at some point to claim an artist YouTube profile for which I need a few more subscribers. If anyone feel generous enough to help out it would be greatly appreciated.

Had a little play around with Guitar Hive. Apologies for the video, I’m no filmmaker. I do prefer to post my music this way, as I feel it’s more interesting than the peaks and troughs of a waveform!
Instruments: Guitar Hive, Vaults: Studio Drums, Nocturnal Gestures, The Vertical Piano, UAD: Electra 88, NI: Straylight, Logic: Scientific Method Kit & Roots Upright Bass.

I agree. Waves and Seagulls trump waveforms in my opinion. Nice.

Hi all, I released an EP every month for a year. I made a little video summarising what I learned from this and my approach to it

Neuropsycho II ⠝⠑⠥⠗⠕⠏⠎⠽⠉⠓⠕ ⠼⠃ Unraveling you

This is a heavy drum n bass track with vocals. This song was inspired by the book “Neuromancer” by William Gibson.

I used the crow hill Vaults (shimmer guitar and wavering choir with heavy processing) in the transitions effects and glitchy top sounds.
This is my first post here ^^

Hello, here are 2 videos from the Cue Tube to which I composed the music.

One is a fake Car advert which features Guitar Hive, and the other is a sort of tense dark thriller scene which features Concussion drums.

Let me know what you think, any feedback would be appreciated

I particulary like the battery (the sanre is really cool) and global rythm :upside_down_face:
the video effect reminds me the Korg Kaoss Pad

Hi Mark,
I have used audacity for analyzing and fixing my tracks before but never recorded directly into it. As a fairly happy user of StudioOne only a few aspects of testing and checking happens for me. Good luck!

Yeah… well usually I use Reaper. OBS doesn’t like it when i record Reaper :sob: it lags too much, in fact only a few months ago I learned the reason it was lagging so much was because it was also trying to record my laptop mic at the same time and it was monitoring it the whole time.

:sparkles: the art of a laptop that’s a potato :sparkles:
