Think you nailed it. Your music really fits the trailer and it sounds professional. The optimistic tone towards the end is perfect for it.

Thank you sooo much for your kind words, I really appreciate it

Hi All

This is a Video of how I did my entry for the recent challenge to re-score the venom trailer.

I did it just for practice, but also as others have been so helpful sharing resources etc. And also as the challenge has been very engaging and inspiring.

It was also a good motivator to have a go at making a video for the first time and get used to it.

The tips are just for sharing creative ideas etc, they are not meant as a tutorial or to teach anyone how to suck eggs of course :stuck_out_tongue:

But it includes my choices of FX and automations as well as choices made in the composition etc.

It starts with a short-style overview, then a longer one with comments.

Hope you enjoy!

Can’t believe I didn’t win. Despite breaking all the rules… :grimacing:

I’m sorry / not sorry

Here’s a music video that I did recently, using a technique called data moshing. You can get some great effects with it:

Hello Crow Hill friends!

I dropped some new music today and the Dulcet Voice has become an integral go-to tool for me when blending various vocal samples with some home sourced synths from glass and guitar harmonics. For the glass, I have a base sound on Pianobook right now you’re quite welcome to download but am hoping to add some more Kontakt patches by the fall including some of the sampled harmonics from my semi-hollow Hagstrom Viking and some modular drum sounds, both big parts of the track as well.

I hope you’ll take a listen to “Shatterhenge,” and that you’ll dig it. Would love to know how you like it.

Thanks for taking the time to show your approach. I like learning new approaches like this, sir.

One of the best score to mood jobs I’ve seen so far. Solid video editing as well.

I have and use this plugin (and your hand bell one). Props, sir!

So… I did a mini review / walkthrough of Pocket Strings.

Just gonna say now that my review style is entirely different to how others review stuff, so, hope you enjoy and also had a bit of a laugh, its my first one ^^

This very funny Mark.

Amazing work on both the video and audio. Can’t get Data Moshing out of my head now….

Good to see someone else use CueTube. You did well with both of those.

Hi there!

I’m new to the world of composing - I did a bit in college and have ‘dabbled’ in it over the years but never really taken it seriously - up until a few months ago.

I’m aspiring to get into the film, TV and video game composing business and so I’m working on getting a showreel together but I thought I’d start by practicing by rescoring some film trailers.

Here’s my latest one if you care to take a look!

“Data Moshing” would be a good album title LOL

Another experiment. Used the Spring Piano from Pianobook and the Pocket Strings and Celestatone from Crow Hill.
