Anyone for chain-composing experiment?

Hi Michael,

Of course, please do! And thanks for joining in. :+1::slightly_smiling_face:

Great stuff Mark! probably should have just sent you the midi data for it.

I’m thinking as I’m adding synths in I could revisit the rest of the piece once it’s completed so I can blend it in better. Especially when Cats does the percussion.

At the same time it could be written like a suite as well which could be quite interesting!

I’ve got a few ideas in my mind Alistair. I’m just thinking them out in my mind at the moment. Leave it with me and I will try and get something done by this Monday ok buddy.

Hi Michael,

There’s no rush on this. We’re just doing it for the fun. So if you have real-world deadlines to meet then sort them first and get to this when you can. :slightly_smiling_face::+1:

Thanks Alistair :+1:. Yeah I’m treating this only as a bit of fun myself on this one. There might be a few bum notes coming to create a bit of dissonance, .

Dissonance can be good too!

Yeah it can, but I was only joking about that. Bye the way I liked the way how Mark changed the direction of the music from what Vishen did. I think I’m gonna somehow try and bring your original theme back into the composition some how but maybe slightly modify it. I’m just thinking about what instruments to use.

All sounding great already. Looking forward to Michael’s part and yeah after Monday cool with me I’m pretty sure I’ll be well ready by then.

If concussion is potentially coming later I’ll avoid anything too percussive but may hint a few light things in there depending what CH instruments I choose. Will just see how it goesšŸ˜Ž

Looking forward to it Leigh!:wink::+1:

I will let you know Leigh when Ive finished. Just bear with me ok, buddy. I’m not using any drums on my part. I think Catsandsound said that he wants to do the drum parts. :+1:

Bye the way Leigh how’s your Pianobook sample library getting on with those church bells?

Yeah that’s all cool with me :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: and yes just working on patches now.. the more I make them, the more I realise there is more to make :joy: I will stop soon and leave other ideas for later!

For this track, I’m considering any vaults not used so far, so will go with what comes!

No problemmo! Work is making me tired this week anyway :joy: so all good whenever you’re done :+1::smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

:+1: I think the original tempo is 115 bpm so I am just keeping it as it is to make things easier. There is no rush on this one, ok. Take your rest otherwise you will burn yourself out. This is just for fun, ok.

I’m nearly done. Ive done a bridging section to try and bring the composition nearer to the end section so that both you and catsandsound can do the finale section so that the composition possibly finishes with a banging upbeat. I’m a bit tired myself now so I will tidy it up tomorrow and upload it for you all to hear tomorrow evening. You will be able to hear the whole thing thus far and you will be able to hear individual stem parts as well tomorrow. ok buddy.

Just bear with me I’m changing something that I’ve done.

Hi Leigh I’ve finished the short bridging section to try and get back to that starting theme of Alistair’s. I didn’t want to over complicate things so I decided to keep things pretty simple. Here is the link for the WAV file for the whole of the composition thus far. Let me know if the link works and if it does I will send you all of the stem parts, ok. I’ve used Dot Alison and Glass Strings to try and work in harmony with portions of Alistair’s theme.
