Good stuff Mark. Well done.
Thank you Michael, so pleased you enjoyed it!
I prefer a video to my tracks; done on a very simple level.
Just snap some footage, loop it, layer it and splodge it about.
Stay Tuneful!
You do good work also…I recognize your handle from your UJAM Cinedream Sci-Fi entry…that was one of my favorites. That means alot coming from somebody who I know knows what they are talking about.
Very soothing to my heart Matt. I like all your tracks. Continue the good work, well done buddy.
Hi all,
My name is Vishen from the UK. I’ve mainly produced as a hobby over the years but really wanted to get into composing so I’ve been working on that for the past few years though I do need to release some songs at some point! I’m looking forward to checking out the music in this thread!
This is something I made using mostly Crow Hill instruments.
It’s really good piece of work Vishen. Welcome to the Crow Hill Community.
2 beautiful tracks Michael. This cello is gorgeous! On the second the vocals reminds me the theme of the movie Gladiator ![]()
Hi Vishen and welcome! Very good work the ambience is really great! You can do amazing things with these Crow Hill instruments ![]()
Thanks Daniel, i don’t think it was me but nevermind your track has this organic and electric side that i like very much, and it was really well mixed. A great one for sure! ![]()
Thank you Michael! I really enjoyed the songs you posted, really lovely string work!
Thank you! You can indeed, I just really enjoy the sound design you can do with them. I’ve been using Venom a lot recently to write an industrial sounding album as the kits are perfect for that sound.
Hi all, this is my first time posting here. I make dark atmospheric music which is greatly inspired by the likes of Lorn and Snakes of Russia, so when I saw than Crow Hill launched Venom, I got really excited. I have been working on a track that is 99% comprised of Venom, Vaults and Dot Allison (with some real guitar and Baritone guitar in the mix as well). It needs a little bit of tidying but would love to hear your thoughts on this…
Thanks,
Matt

Hi Matt
I can’t seem to open the link on SoundCloud when I click it, comes up with “loading error” for me.
Hmmm maybe because i had set it to private.
Please can you try again.
Yup, it’s working now. ![]()
Hi Matt, your influences have peaked my interest! Admittedly I didn’t know about Snakes of Russia until Venom came out but once I listened to his music it was definitely the sort of vibe I really enjoy so it’s been great going through his back.
I can definitely hear both Lorn and SoR in your music.
Thanks for your kind words which are very much appreciated.
I’m glad you enjoyed them. Thanks for letting me know.
I made this track using Tina Guo - Storm Cello, Vertical Piano, Dot Allison - Dulcet Voice, Glass Strings and Piano Rack FX, as well as Instruments from Riot Audio and Cinematique Instruments. It was intended to be ready by the 80th Anniversary of VE Day, but Life got in the way and so I missed my self-imposed deadline.
I also used Les Cook’s Cymbalum from Pianobook, so a shout out to Les for creating this simple but lovely instrument. ![]()
That was brilliant. I really enjoyed watching the audio and the video together. Great job.
As always I loved the Spitfire action….
